About the Book
If you are interested in love affairs, then this love affair with the Algarve started in 1984, and lasted for twenty seven years. You don't get that length of time in jail for murder! Not always a complete love affair, as some of the frustrations, stupidities and nonsenses which occur in Portugal, could lead most relationships to the point of divorce or even suicide. However, the author manages to combine the beautiful aspects of this wonderful part of the world with much love, humour, and a realistic and honest view of the Algarve, over an extraordinary length of time, in what is to most British people, a foreign country.
About the Author
A retired management consultant running his own company, Industrial Relations and Personnel Services Ltd for the past thirty five years. Now divides his liesure time between living in the UK and Portugal, where he has had a house for the past twenty seven years. Having spent the above time in Portugal, he now feels qualified to outline the vast changes that have taken place here. Interests include, scuba diving, skiing, motorcycling, classical music, international travel, composing and playing middle of the road pop music and entertaining at gigs, DIY and keeping my his wife happy!
