A Different Kind of Flea

About the Book

A Different Kind of Flea is a story about Famina,a flea who has four legs instead of six.  It tells of her struggle to hop around like the other fleas and travel the world.  She struggles with her difference, but overcomes her challenge with the help of her older brother.  It is a lovely tale of hope and courage. 

About the Author

I am  8 years old and in 3rd grade.  I enjoy reading and writing and have faced many challenges of my own.  I wanted to inspire other children to overcome their own personal challenges by not giving up.  There is always hope and things will always be better than they were before, as long as you don't give up and you ask for help.  I wanted to help others with physical and mental challenges but didn't have any money to do that.  That is why I wrote this book, so that I could donate all the proceeds to a charity that helps people who need help.
