About the Book

Set in the provocative and elusive space that exists somewhere between fiction and reality, this is the story of Nicholas Lohime; a man on a daunting quest to save the human species from total annihilation.

It is the year 2062. Fifty years before, a great evil was unleashed upon the world in the form of ‘creatures’ that looked human. A twelve-year old boy then, living in the shadows where survival was a constant struggle, Nicholas went on to beat the odds and eventually grew up to lead a band of rebels in a courageous uprising against the creatures.

And for a long time now, things have been going smoothly for the rebellion…until the terrible day Nicholas’ wife is brutally murdered by the creatures in a surprise attack. An almost broken man, for many months he bears the pain of losing her, slowly making his way towards some manner of recovery when in the heat of another battle - disaster strikes at home again, only this time his daughter Melanie is kidnapped. In her room, a dreadful note is found, left by the enemy to taunt and further prey upon Nicholas’ delicate emotional state. Adamant on not losing his daughter however, Nicholas must now engage in a perilous rescue mission against his better judgement; one that unfolds in a daring chain of events that will ultimately bring him face to face in a stunning showdown with the creatures’ draconian master, an evil entity that possesses shocking secrets regarding humanity and the world, and…who may possibly be as old as time itself.

A gripping and fast paced adventure, filled with unforeseeable twists and turns, The Plan is a celebration of the imagination. A fiercely original story that ventures not only into the heart of darkness, but also the enduring spirit of humanity.
