Professional Artwork Created To Illustrate Your Book

Elevate your book to the next creative level with artwork produced by our in-house art studio. Our team of seasoned studio artists will work with you to produce striking artwork that accentuates your carefully crafted work. Artwork can be created in a variety of mediums depending on the level of artistry purchased. For “Personal Touch” and “Fine Detail,” art is drawn by hand and coloring is done digitally. For “Intricate Design,” art is drawn by hand and coloring is done either digitally or by hand in one of the following mediums: Ink, graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, or watercolor.

How does the process work?

• Written and verbal communication between you and our art team to discuss initial illustration concepts and timelines

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of artwork can your artists create?

Our talented artists can provide portraits, landscapes, illustrations, technical drawings, maps and charts. All illustrations include custom coloring.

How will I explain my ideas to your artist?

You will be asked to complete and submit a SIF (Submission Information Form) that will outline your illustration ideas and character descriptions. You will then have the opportunity to review your SIF with an artist by phone.

How will I review sketches and final art for my custom illustrations?

Our Illustration Coordinator will send you digital proof files of your sketches and your final artwork. Once you have approved final artwork, you’ll work with your book designer to place the illustrations within the book galley.

Will I receive the original artwork?

AuthorHouse will provide you with a high-resolution, digital file of your illustration in jpeg, tiff or pdf format.
