Skilled in a variety of mediums including watercolor, pastel, ink, graphite, photography and digital rendering, your illustrator will spend up to five hours creating artwork to make your cover stand out.

How can I explain my ideas to my studio illustrator?
You’ll be able to speak one-to-one with an experienced illustrator. Often, it can help to send along cover samples that you like from other books. Many of our authors also send rough sketches of their ideas, and can include color samples/swatches as well.

What type of artwork can your studio create?
Our talented artists can provide portraits, landscapes, illustrations, technical drawings, maps and charts and are skilled in a variety of mediums including watercolor, pastel, ink, graphite, photography and digital rendering.

How will I review a sketch and final art for my custom cover illustration?
Your assigned artist will send you digital proof files of a sketch. Your final artwork will be sent for approval before it is integrated into your overall cover design.

Will I receive my original artwork?
AuthorHouse will provide you with a high-resolution, digital file of your cover in jpeg or pdf format. You can use these files to create your own marketing materials or choose to have our promotions department design them for you.
