A Motherless Child

5:25 am, Trina get up, I’d hear her but would be too afraid to move, I’d hear her footsteps walking towards the bed, she made me sleep with her, can you imagine being scared all night?, Trina she would yell, I said get up, I’d just lay there, a few seconds later she would snatch me up from the bed and slam me to the floor, she would put her big dirty foot on my chest screaming and spitting, she had this high pitched voice that reminded me of a witch, I couldn’t understand what she was saying, she would be in such a rage, I couldn’t make out what she was saying it was just too much going on, she is pressing that big dirty foot into my chest and stomach stomping me, her night dress is swinging wildly in the chaos and I can’t help but to see her nasty nakedness as she’s stomping me, yelling something that I couldn’t understand, she snatched me up from the floor, give me a few blows to head, and throw me back down to the floor, I’m crawling trying to find someplace to hide, everything is still fuzzy, my ears are ringing, I’m seeing stars, and here she comes again, she snatches me up from the floor slams me against the wall, chokes me until I almost lose consciousness then slams my head on the wall a few times to wake me up I guess, so that I can hear her say I will kill your black ugly ass, I will put you six feet under with your mammy, she is screaming and her face is scrolled up like something evil, I don’t know what to do, I just cry but I’m thinking what did I do? Then back to the floor, I ball up in the fetal position trying to cover my head, hoping that this will be the day that she kills me, she is kicking me, still screaming at me the beating stop as suddenly as it starts, I’m able to crawl away into the closet.
