About the Book
Dismissed is a collection of poems that began in 1992. The poems relate to life events. The poems emphasize on how knowing an individual results in a better outcome than assumption. We can sometimes be given false information, but love begins with the love of God, and life can sometimes test our strength. This is not just a love for others but love for ourselves as well. Dismissed is a poetic way of turning life’s negatives into positives.
About the Author
Styra Monger-Hobson is a current Mississippi native who attended Tougaloo College and Jackson State University. She worked in retail book sales in Jackson and Ridgeland, Mississippi before becoming an author. She is currently wife and a firm believer in education.
