Scoppetry

About the Book

Scoppetry is a mixed-up book of poems and prose. The pieces take place in many countries, but they are all rooted by the writer’s observation of his relationship’s quirks, wherever he may roam. Scop is an old English word for poet, and in Scoppetry, the author attempts to revive that wandering minstrel with modern narratives.

About the Author

Originally from Lancashire, Anthony C Murphy studied Writing and Literature at The Open University in the UK. Since moving to New York he performs at grassroots readings in the city where he also assists in producing Philip Giambri’s world-famous, monthly spoken word event, ‘Rimes of the Ancient Mariner’. After publication in several online and print magazines he was nominated for a Pushcart Prize 2017. He is the curator of the literary travelblog ‘Where the Wurms Play Rugby’ and his first novel, ‘Shiftless’, will be out soon.
