About the Author

Evelyn Harrison Heckhaus grew up on the coast of North Carolina. Her family enjoyed trips to the beach for family fun. Fishing, sailing and water skiing were favorite sports practiced by her family. Her story of the friendly fish came from her imagination of what might have happened on one of the trips to the beach. Evelyn was a school - teacher for many years and encouraged her students to use their imagination to help them in problem solving. She has written several children’s books.
