About the Book

This little book of poems, praises, prayers, and speeches has been gleaned from my personal experience with God through the reading of his Divine Word. It is my prayer, however, that all who read this little book may be encouraged to explore and read the Holy Book (Bible). The Bible is like sweetness from the honey comb, which is nourishment for the sin-sick soul. “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way” (Psalm 119: 103–104).

About the Author

Mrs. Tillman has one daughter, one goddaughter, two sons, and seven grandchildren. She has resided in Georgia all of her life. She attended Morris Brown College, obtaining a bachelor of art degree in business education, and later attended Atlanta University. Mrs. Tillman has worked with the Internal Revenue Service as a stenographer, and with hands-on experience with controlling exempt applications or denial of exemption, and screen initial file to determination. Maintain suspense file to follow-up information received in thirty days of initial screening, and the filing of Internal Revenue manuals. Mrs. Tillman has taught in the Atlanta Public School System for twenty years. In the twenty years of teaching, however, she has tried to instill within her students to have respect for self, and by doing this, they will have more compassion for others. She also tried to stress strongly the importance of a good education. Mrs. Tillman many times invited coworkers and students to attend the Church of Christ. However, from this effort, one student obeyed the gospel (to God be the glory). Mrs. Tillman’s spiritual life has been the most rewarding. She has been a Christian for fifty-four years, obeying the gospel when she was only eighteen years of age. She has taught Sunday school, ladies’ Bible classes, and has spoken at Ladies’ Day programs. She is still active in the service of the Lord, mentoring to the younger women and taking care of the flowers at the church where she attends (Locust Grove Congregation).
