This is an ageless story about the genuine and cherished love between a grandfather (Papa) and his grandson. They are companions in play, storytellers, trailblazers of adventures, and explorers, unleashing their innermost boy-like innocence. As Papa would say, spending time with his “little buddy” is as exciting as having a secret clubhouse—a sanctuary away from the world—that only they can understand, making life with grandchildren the most important and satisfying job in the world!

About the Author

Cathy is a teacher who loves to write and share her love of writing and reading with her students. Her dad (Papa) shared his love of books and reading. He read to her and her brother, Greg, as they grew up in the town of Marion, Ohio. Their dad taught them that reading was an adventure where they could travel to far away places, that reading developed their imaginations, that reading was a way to learn, and that reading could help them escape the doldrums of the day. Her dad also shared his love of sports, and the life lessons that come from being part of a team. Cathy is an avid Buckeye fan and Detroit Tigers fan.
