As they approach the end of the long line, Jasmine turns to David and says: “I really wish we had a better playground than this, its times like these that make me miss the green grass and huge playground at my old school”. Then David replies: “Well, it’s been this way since I got here. Tickets! I have tickets! It would really be great to have something better to climb on. But I can’t say I mind the extra bucks from selling our tickets…” David smiles as he trades their tickets for a doughnut.

About the Book
You ask, what’s wrong with the monkey bars? Well, when they’re the only option, and the line is longer than the girl’s room, you tell me. Our playground is terrible! But what can we do to help? Three friends work together to build their school a new playground. The entire school helps out as they use their unique talents to make their school a better place for them and for generations to come. Some students think it’s a great idea; others oppose it. Will they be able to overcome their differences and make unlikely friends for the sake of their school? This is a story of persistence, courage, friendship, strength, and hope, mixed in with a whole bunch of silliness. You will see that anything you can think of is possible if you just put in the effort and believe in yourself.
About the Author
I graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Le Cordon Bleu as a Hotel Restaurant Manager. Though I love hospitality, after having two girls I decided I wanted something tangible to teach them the value of perseverance. I wrote this book with the tremendous help of Charlotte Logsdon (my daughter’s 3rd grade teacher) in the hopes that readers are both amused and touched by the story. I currently live in Livermore, CA with my husband Stacy, our daughters Ariel and Samia, our fours dogs and Max the cat.
