About the Author

I have been assisting students and adults as a job developer/employment specialist and ROP instructor with jobs and employment skills for over twenty-six years. I have assembled similar curriculum guide workbooks together for students and adults and have taught all these skills in the classrooms. I have a personnel administrative credential, along with lifelong experience. In the past fifteen years, I have seen a significant difference in our youth, graduates, and adult generation, and it is not for the better. Therefore, I wrote the book Work Ethics and the Generation Gap back in 2008. What the community and students have to say is in chapter 7; it is a must-read. The book also includes a section on the German school system. In Germany, students come out of school ready to go to work or into a trade. There is no welfare. Too many people are going with the flow and are trying to keep up with all the latest and not always all the greatest technology and other stuff, not realizing the negative influence we are modeling for our children. When we spoil our children too much and neglect to teach them responsibilities, they will become what we taught them. Some graduates don’t want to work or go to school and stay home as long as they can. We all need to be positive, productive role models for our children, students, and others.
