About the Book

About the Author

Tim Dickerson is a Police Officer in a small city in southwest Washington state.  On a day off, while taking care of a friend's baby, he took a nap with the child sleeping on his chest.  It reminded him of the times his daughter, Jessica napped with him and how it had bonded them as father and daughter.

Amy Barnes in an Art Teacher in a city North of Seattle, Washington.  Illustrating children's books has been a life-long dream of hers.  The models for the artwork emerged from her own memory recalling her daughters, Kelsey and Lauren, napping with their Daddy and imagining the types of adventures they would want to take with the family dog at their side.  The result is a combination of ink sketches and textured paper art that bring this book to life.
