GOOD LOOK (PHASE II) Dear Lord, when I look into the mirror, most times, I see a being that is not good looking, but am sure when you look down at me from heaven, you’ll just laugh at me and wonder why I can’t see myself in such a good looking way. You have given me the best heart, the best brain and other things that even made me to know that the look does not matter anymore. You made me to know that all I have to do is believe in myself and that I will do henceforth. I am so sorry for being angry with you some times about my look. Thinking about those times makes me feel so sorry, but now I know better that it is what I think of myself that people will think of me. Help me to be discipline, help me oh Lord not to be lustful and carried away with dirty thoughts. Jesus, flush my heart with your words and blood, remove all sexual urge until I get married to the rightful partner. Help me Lord, not to yield to sexual pressures, even when I am old enough and I start courting. I want my life to be free from all diseases that sex brings, including HIV/AIDS. Is this not why you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? Oh Lord, help me and my friends to totally stay away from this absurd acts. When we are ripe enough for relationships; let our relationships be with the opposite sex as you have naturally designed it. Victoria Jonah is trained in Educational Management (M.Ed) at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She spent several years as teacher in schools and in Sunday school. She enjoys organizing Christian/educative programmes for children and teenagers. She currently resides in Nigeria with her husband and her niece.
