About the Author

Michele Fitzsimmons lives in Yorktown Heights, New York, with her husband and three sons. She graduated from New York University in 2002, with a master’s degree in counseling. She was a school counselor and reading teacher at PS 156 in the South Bronx, New York. In 1999, Mrs. Fitzsimmons received a master’s degree in teaching reading and writing from Manhattanville College. She has taught first grade in Katonah and Harrison, New York. She is a New York State-certified reading teacher and elementary school teacher, and earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 1996 from the University of Delaware. She grew up in Chappaqua, New York.

M. Theresa Bromley, a native Chicagoan, currently lives in Mahopac, New York, with her husband, daughter, and son. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago with a BS in biology, Theresa earned her master’s degree in health sciences and physician assistance from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. She has been practicing hospital-based pediatrics since 2002, and has focused on neonatology since 2007. Mrs. Bromley is currently a neonatal Physician Assistant for the Danbury Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Danbury, Connecticut.
