A Blanket A white blanket lies all around, Covering everything on the ground. Crystals glitter through the air, Looking like diamonds sparkling fair. Freshness appears everywhere, People out driving and taking care. Tracks lie through this blanket of white, Looking like finger prints standing out bright. Oh how did this blanket appear in the night? For it had been no where in sight. Mother Nature once again has come, Taking care that her job is done.

About the Book
This book is a series of poems written to reflect memories and feelings throughout my life time. They have been influenced by friends and families. They are both happy and sad memories , but a very important part of my life.
About the Author
I was born in Butte, Montana to Eleanor and Fred W. Richards who had a major influence on my life. I have one sister and two sons I have taught special education for thirty-eight years , where I became very involved in writing. I was a single parent who started writing as a way to deal with my feelings. My family has been my inspiration throughout my life along with dear friends. I remember my mother telling me that I should write as I would tell her stories about my work and my children. I have taught creative writing , which began my writing journey. I then went on to writing song lyrics in the 1980's. I now enjoy the simplicity of poetry. I am amazed at how many people enjoy poetry. I continue to write stories, poetry and lyrics. I am now ready to share them with the world. I hope anyone who reads my writings enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
