Destroying Myth That Some
People Are Met To
Spend The Rest Of Their Life
Alone.
Listen to God’s words in Genesis chapter 2 when he says, “It is not good for man to be ALONE.” From the very beginning God wanted us to live on the earth as Husband and Wife. If it was not so, then he wouldn’t have made a point of saying it in such details as in verse 24 which reads, “So a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one body.”
Now that is a powerful statement which clearly let us know that we all have a mate out there who is meant for us. How do we know this for sure? The Bible states in verse 18 of the same chapter that God said, “I will make a helper who is right for him.” In this statement God lets us know that he has created someone just for us. Yes, really. God words are like promises that he always keep, and when he says that he will create someone just for us, he always do what he said he would do.
So why are some of us still alone without our mate? I thought long and hard before answering this question because there are so many ways we can answer this question. One of the reason why we are still alone is that we are impatience, and try to rush God. When the blessings he has for us don’t come according to our timeline rather than waiting for God to finish fashioning us for our mate in his timeline for us we attend to go ahead of God. We will accept a counterfeit blessing that Satan has set up to trap us that looks and feels like the real thing. What to I mean by counterfeit? Well lets look at the definition.
Counterfeit:
Something made to imitate another thing with a view to defraud. Sounds like the works of the enemy to me. Satan knows how to get to us and cause us to loose our blessing by sending us counterfeits of what we pray for that looks and seems so real. That’s his job and he’s very, very good at it.
As long as we are of the flesh Satan will continue to tempt us with things that will cause us to loose our true blessing. Even Jesus wasn’t exempt from Satan temptation. And like with Jesus, Satan come at us when we are weak in our spirit and in flesh. But just as Jesus over came Satan temptations and rejected his counterfeit blessing, so can we. Just like God presented Adam’s mate to him, he does the same for us, but by us establishing our own imagine of who our idea mate should look like and how they are supposed to be in their demeanor, we attend to reject the person God create for us unknowingly and accept the counterfeit Satan put in it’s place. Most Christians would say that they are lead by the spirit to their mate and knows the differences and would never choose a counterfeit over their woman or man of God. For most that would be true, but not even Christians are exempt from being tempted. Do you think that just because you are a Christian God made you the exception to the rules and not Job or Jesus? . . . .
The
PRAYER of JABEZ
1 Chronicles 4:9–10
As I was reading this book, “The Prayer of Jabez,” God gave me a new understanding of how this prayer is for all of us. Now I have an understanding of what this prayer means in my life. As I read it God said CUSTOMIZED this prayer to fit my life. I realize that this is an unlimited prayer that goes on continuously. This is how I customize this prayer for my needs to help me.
“Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me
from evil, that I may not cause pain!” O Lord those words
mean so much to me, “That you would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory.” Lord, I understand in these words
and ask in my mind, that You would increase my understanding
of your words, so I can grow closer to you, Lord.
Increase my family with my man of God that we may face
this journey in life together and all that is in store for us.
Lord, increase my wisdom and knowledge so that I
may be fair in all I say and do. Lord, instill in my family
a strong spiritual foundation that can endure all things that come
against our household. And thank you Lord for being a
Father that I can come to for all things with a loving, listening ear that
never turns me away.
Amen
