LOOKING BACK AT MY AMERICA is the life story of an 81 year old physician who has combined two books into this one volume. Starting with his family’s exciting escape from  Ottoman Turkey to become famous American tobacco millionaires presented as a factual historical novel.The biographical portion encompasses his growing up in East Harlem,N.Y. going to France in WWII as a combat infantry soldier with the 36th Infantry Division during the BATTLE OF THE BULGE. As a biochemist then medical doctor, LIBRIUM and VALIUM were developed,followed by an NIMH post-doctoral fellowship,becoming a psychiatrist with court expert experiences and a San Quentin Prison therapist. He also recounts his memorable shipboard life experiences as a Ship’s Surgeon.


About the Author

DR.HAZAN received his BA from Brooklyn College,his MA in Biochemistry from George Washington University,completing two years of medicine while a Research Fellow at the Medical College Of Georgia for four years.He completed his last two years at the USC School of Medicine in 1955. Granted an NIMH Post-Doctoral Fellowship he became a psychiatrist,a legal expert and finally as an Army Colonel serving as psychiatrist and Commander of the Medical Facility in Bamberg, Germany. He was trained at Oak Ridge Insitute in Health Physics to accept the Ship’s Surgeon position on the Nuclear Ship Savannah. His successful financial program is outlined.
