He Knew I Would Tell

Living Water… The falls were beautiful, even from the top angle. Leaning over the rail, I thanked God for the constant flow of Holy Water that seemed to pour fresh life into my Mom. It was comforting knowing that long after she was gone, the water would continue to flow.

Even Tough Marines Love Jesus… At 4 a.m. Phil was relieved from duty and told to get some much-needed sleep. Marine grunts covet every minute of sleep they can get so he didn’t waste any time falling asleep right where he was positioned in the mud and tall grass on the river bank.

Barstool Angels… Ivan Record must have had one of those angels that hung out in bars. Ivan liked to drink whiskey, smoke fat cigars, chew tobacco and cuss. Wow, could that man cuss! He never married, nor had children of his own. None that he spoke of, anyway.

He Knew I Would Tell… I felt a rush of tingling electricity run from all of my fingertips to all of my toes, through my core body and head. It was wildly shocking, so much that for a split second, I wondered if I was being electrocuted. In the next instant, I knew better.

Campus Crusades… One of the mission projects that we did in Natal was showing the popular “Jesus” film. Three times that week, we went to very rural areas, set up a movie screen, went around the neighborhood streets and invited people to come see the “Jesus” film in their own native language.

Home Again… It all had begun two and a half years prior. My husband, Dennis, and I had just come off of a mountain top high. God had blessed us and allowed us the privilege of leading a weekend retreat of over a hundred teens. We had witnessed God perform miracles. We were new Christians, unqualified, and of course, truly unable to pull off such a task on our own. But with God on our side, it was possible.

Welcome Home… In retrospect, I can see how my Heavenly Father started putting everything in place for that one special moment, or as I call it, “for such a time as this”. No matter how many God moments I now recognize, I stand in total amazement each and every time

The Little Lung That Could… We received “The Call” at 6:13 in the morning, on Saturday, January 3rd, from our transplant coordinator at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis saying “Mike, we have a set of lungs for you! We need you to come as quickly as possible.” We were on the road to Indy at 6:30 a.m., and at Methodist Hospital by 10:00 a.m.

Everything Will Be Alright… As the miles flew by, they talked about what their next move would be. The detective in him worked over the nagging question, “What’s my purpose?”

Heaven Sent… He went on to say that each person on earth has an angel to watch over them. As those angels watch over us, they are always facing God. With that in mind, it isn’t hard to imagine that they can alert Him for backup in an instant!

Moe’s Famous Dressing… I was going about my business making sure everything on the menu was coming along on schedule. As usual, I made the dressing a day in advance, so it could soak up all the wonderful flavors I was so proud of. On Christmas morning, I tasted it before it went in the oven to make sure it was good.

Midwest Comfort… As I looked around the kitchen at the wallpaper border that had prayers to God printed on it, and saw the little girl’s art that decorated the refrigerator door, I knew this was a loving home.

Never Alone… The majority of my convalescing time has been spent reading the Bible and being quiet enough to hear God’s precious words to me.

Speculating On Prayer… Could the air around us be woven with the prayers of God’s beloved that have been prayed through the ages?
