I was a man who had received an abundance of love from my woman, had begun to take that love for granted, and therefore not care too much about reciprocating it. In fact, I may have yearned for something more.
Did I need more?
Did I deserve more?
Does anyone not want more?
Does anyone really know how love operates?
Do I know, now?
I was--and still am--suprtemely confident in my woman--my wife, I mean. No one, nothing would or could drive her away from me. I knew that the object of her love was me alone, and that is how it still is. But I didn't know how to give love in return. I've never been able to understand why. Yet she took me as I am and showed me true love over the years.
I still couldn't express my love, or even explain to her why I still couldn't. I didn't know why myself.

No Accident' explores human relationships from a variety of narratorial angles, using different narrative techniques, to show that love, in most of its forms, is not fortuitous or inadvertent.
About the Author
Bryan was born in 1952, in Tiruchy, Tamilnadu, India. His education, up to a Masters in English Language and Literature, was completed in Tiruchy. He started his teaching career in 1975, in Madras--that is now Chennai--and has been a College-level teacher ever since.He has been working in the Sultanate of Oman since 2004, with a short stint in Saudi Arabia in 2008. In 1981 Bryan completed the M.Phil degree in English from the Central University of Hyderabad, where he did research on selected works of the British writer Paul Scott. This introduced him to the British-Indian equation, more especially on the Anglo-Indian community as an ethnic and linguistic entity within the vast cultural canvas of India. This is Bryan's first novel, but he has more, in the form of plays, ready for publication. He is now working on another novel, but there is still a long way to go.
