About the Author

Garda Ghista has been a lifelong follower of Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar and written numerous articles on his socio-economic philosophy called Prout. Sh is convinced that Prout's key principles of economic decentralization as well as creation of cooperative commonwealths in every region of the world can solve the present economic depression. Garda Ghsita has a BA in Journalism and MA in Integrative Studies, both of which enable her to write on a large variety of topics. In her writing, she invariably seeks solutions to problems besetting today's world, be they economic, social, cultural or moral issues. In January 2010 she founded a new NGO called Hearts Healing Hunger with global headquarters in Denver, Colorado, USA and the first branch office in Siliguri, North Bengal, India. The first and foremost goal of Hearts Healing Hunger is to feed the hungry people everywhere. She believes that with the combinatino of financial collapse and climate change, this work will be critical in the coming years.
