About the Book
Despite considerable progress in the research on aetiopathogenesis, clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular disease (CVD), its risk factors are still a matter of debate. The present book, written by the head of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Faculty of Medicine, Thracian University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, presents a brief overview of the major risk factors for CVD with particular reference to the local problems in his home country and based on personal investigations.
About the Author
Assoc. Prof. I. Manchev is author and co-author of more then 100 scientific works in all basic aspects of Neurology, including of seven monographs and textbooks. A considerable part is dedicated to the vascular diseases of the nervous system.
