I have always considered Haiku as Poetic Art. This poetic form was created by the Japanese starting in the early 1600's.
Haiku poetry traditionally reflects the beauty of nature, the seasons, animals, flowers and landscapes.
As an artist, each Haiku I write suggests a watercolor. As a writer, each watercolor I paint suggests a Haiku.
