About the Book

Dr. Evans adopts Mindy 11, from the pound, after her recent divorce.

She meets a stranger on the plane, Dan Clark. Being of Persian heritage, he changed his surname from Chocquin de Sarzec to Clark. Being a world connoiseur of fine art, he thought, ‘Clark’ would be easier for people to remember.

Dr. Evans is a Harvard Law Professor. She too travels. Dan and Dr. Evans fall in love. She assists youthful students, who show potential in their chosen career paths.

Dan asks Sherry to fly to Peking, China, and meet his friend, Mr. Kong. Dan gave Sherry the money to pay for the valuable art works. These treasures will be flown to the United States in weeks to follow.

Sherry changes her will, leaving her Carmel real estate to Dan, rather than to her two sons who treated her badly, for years.

Her writing royalties will go to her favorite ganddaughter’s college education. Susan wants to become a veterinarian.

Before leaving for the plane to Peking, Sherry wonders if she should tell Dan now, or wait until after she returns from China.

A teary ‘Good-bye’ at the airport , was their final ‘Good-bye.’

While watching television, after Sherry’s departure, Dan learned about the plane crash in the snowy Hymalayan Mountains. There were no survivors.

Dan visits Sherry’s attorney. He’s amazed to learn of his new wealth from Sherry’s Carmel real estate. His good fortune did not lift his sadness, during the Christmas season.

Roberto and Maria, Sherry’s home employees, bring Mindy 11, as a Christmas gift. Maria prepares an Italian supper from the fixings in Dan’s kitchen.

Mindy 11 peers at the expensive oil painting of Sherry on Dan’s desk. Dan wonders, ‘Does Minday 11 remember her? I’ll never forget my Sherry.’
