About the Book

Ms. Keller takes her readers to a conflict between representatives of powerful mining interests and two conversation-minded individuals who simultaneously endeavor to find peace in the mountains and with each other. While this is a work of fiction, all the events described have actually occurred in real life, but to other persons in other places. The mountain scenes are realistic, for the author's father-in-law is a distinguished alpinist who has experienced and verified, the realism of the acts and climbs described.
