Where Are Your Children Tonight?

It's getting late in the evening and John and Jane are not home. I pace the floor up and down, and made calls to their friends, only to hear they were not there. I walked around the neighborhood to find noone has seen them. Where's your children tonight? I heard the ambulance racing down the highway and my heart begins to throb, Lord, don't let it be my children. I sat patient on the couch waiting for the phone to ring telling me that there has been an accident, and to go to the hospital. Then I heard the siren going off, blue lights and flashing cars pulling up in my yard, and an officer walking up to my door. I heard the knock on my door then the voices saying that this is the police, open up. I just froze, and that door seemed to be miles from me. Finally, I made it to the door; yes officers, I notice two children in the back seat of the patrol car, the officers asked, are these your children? I said yes and oh my God. This time it was only curfew, but it could have been worse. So know where your children are all the time, so when you say my child didn't do the crime, you can say it with conviction, because your child is accountable for where is your child tonight.

Born Again Christian

I walk like a fig tree and bear all apples and I still claim to know God. I say I am a born again Christian, yet I blaspheme against the name of my pastor, and I scandalize the name of my neighbors. If I cross the street to avoid a neighbor, If I seduce my neighbors husband,if I submit unto my neighbors wife, then what kind of born again Christian do I claim to be. If I still have the same bad attitude against others, if I am still doing the same things as before, I better check myself because if I am still climbing back in the same rut, I need to go to the closet and talk to God again and see where I have gone wrong. If I can't show neighborly love, if I can't forgive, if I fail to communicate with those I offend, if I fail to follow his commandments if I can't give God some time to listen to his chosen prophet or messenger, how can I claim to be a born again Christian. If I cannot minister to the widows and fatherless children, if I cannot help those in need, how can I call myself a born again Christian. I say I have religion, well anyone can have a belief in something or somebody, but I am filled with the Holy Spirit, washed in the blood, and accepted God as my personal savior, if so, then I am a born again Christian.
