"He’s bleeding, stop it..”I choked as I saw blood trickle down his face and into his ear.."That's it now, I’m telling the police,I’ll tell school..I’ll tell everybody”….I made a final effort to stop Mrs N,by kicking and hitting her,not caring anymore whether she killed me, I certainly wanted to kill her..I ran past her and Davy into the coal house, intending to pick up a broom or a shovel to hit her with, and as if it had been put there for this very purpose ,I spotted a chopping axe leant up against the wall..I didn’t hesitate to pick it up,I was glad I had found it, thrilled ,elated, excited, a mixture of all these senses ran through my  battered body, and something in my head was saying “go on, do it, go on kill her, you’ll be free..home… home…” Grabbing the axe with both hands, I charged blindly into the kitchen wielding it above my head..”I’ll get you,” I sobbed, stepping over Davy “I’ll kill you.” Mrs N’s evil eyes flashed up at me,”You little bitch, put that down,”she snarled, lunging at me with one hand and covering her face with the other..Hysterically I drew my arms back over my head, tightly gripping the axe handle and I gave a last almighty backward thrust ready for a good forward pitch to find it’s mark and put an end to this wicked woman forever..
