About the Book

If you have ever struggled with a relationship you need to read this book.  Although the book is written with Christians in mind it has immense value to everyone who has ever asked the question; what did I do?  The principles are from the Bible and these principles have proven to be the hard tested and well worn trail that millions of people in the arena of addictions have found as their solution.  These people have formulated a program that enables them to survive together in intensely close relationships.  Their ability to get along not only strives from desperation to get better, but also strives from the human, God given, instinct for fellowship.  Though this book has a targeted audience I am sure it has benefits for you no matter what your spiritual walk.  Christians need to know that even though they have the Bible it does them no good if they don't know how to apply its principles in this vital area.  This book is my effort to help by sharing my experiences of the last twenty years in this delicate but volatile area of the human spirit.

BEFORE I SLEEP

There has to be simple prayer

So God knows too, how well I did

All day long I've been a player

From Him I have kept nothing hid

I see my pillow on the bed

And the blankets all creased with care

I am longing to lay my head

So I can leave my troubles there

For this is how I cash my day

All the riches and all the waste

So I can gently find my way

And put an end to all my haste

I pray my Father will show me

The next step on my steep trail

So I can always plainly see

Jesus is the sea I must sail

Now as I lay me down to sleep

I ask God my soul to defend

I beg of Him to also keep

Eyes wide open for my lost friend
