Claudia Carbonell
Claudia Carbonell, was born in Cali, Colombia. She has written a fantasy series, The Magical Series, for children and teenagers. This series contain seven books and a book of short supplementary stories. The series is rich in themes that the author is most passionate about: ecology, fauna and flora. She expands these themes through the beautiful filter of fantasy from the animals’ point of view while they strive to survive the abuses of humans. Of equal impact is the environment deterioration and man’s ambition that destroys the forests, jungles and contaminate water sources. Mythological creatures and others created by the author, make their debut through multiple worlds that exalt the series. The author’s sense of humor is present on each page of her books. Without doubt, this work will be not just for entertainment, but will touch the reader’s consciousness.
Claudia began writing short stories when she was seventeen years old. Two years later her work was being published at a fledgling Ecuadorian newspaper: El Meridiano, (The Meridian).
Since 2000, Claudia prepares future stars in acting and modeling. She is founder of a talent and personal development program called, Destiny Makeover. She also teaches and gives conferences on creative writing including short stories, novels and screenplays. In addition, she teaches nutrition, skin care and personal development that have earned her the appreciation from the public. On these subjects she writes in magazines and in newspapers in California where she lives with her mother and two children: Brigitte Chantal and Andrew Philip.
The Magical House, (La Casa Mágica), is her first book.
Claudia Carbonell, de origen colombiano, ha escrito una serie de fábulas, La Serie Mágica, para niños y adolescentes. Esta serie contiene siete libros y uno suplementario de cuentos cortos. La serie abunda en los temas que la apasionan: la ecología, la fauna y la flora. Desarrolla esta temática a través del bello filtro de la fantasía donde se mezcla el punto de vista de los animales mientras procuran sobrevivir los abusos de los humanos. De igual impacto es el deterioro ambiental y la ambición del hombre que termina con los bosques, las selvas y contamina las fuentes de agua. Criaturas de la mitología y otras creadas por la autora, hacen su debut a través de los múltiples mundos que engalana la serie. El sentido del humor de la autora se destaca en cada página de sus libros. Sin duda, esta obra será ya no sólo de entretenimiento, pero tocará también la conciencia de sus lectores.
Claudia empezó a escribir cuentos desde los diecisiete años, los que comenzaron a publicarse dos años después en el periódico ecuatoriano: El Meridiano.
Desde el 2000, Claudia prepara a futuras estrellas en las artes de la actuación y el modelaje. Es fundadora de un programa de talento y crecimiento personal, llamado Transformación de Destino. Además ofrece clases y presentaciones sobre escritura creativa incluyendo cuentos cortos, novelas y libretos para el cine. Asimismo enseña nutrición, estética y desarrollo personal que le han ganado el aprecio del público. De estos mismos temas escribe en revistas y periódicos en California, Estados Unidos, donde reside con su madre y sus dos hijos: Brigitte Chantal y Andrew Philip.
La Casa Mágica es su primer libro.
?¡Rruuac! ? La bandada de cuervos, mejor conocida como “los pajarracos,” gritó burlona mientras volaba en dirección de las fieras de la selva. No lo hacían por valientes sino por listas, porque aquellas, desde las muy mansas a las más feroces, estaban prisioneras en jaulas. Al concluir el día, los pajarracos regresaban para devorar todo resto de comida que los humanos habían tirado en torno a los animales. Encontraban abundante alimento, especialmente fuera de las jaulas de los monos.
“Rruuac!” The flock of ravens, better known as “wise wings,” yelled mockingly while diving towards the direction of the beasts from the jungle. They did not do this because they were courageous but because the wild animals were all, from the most tame, to the most ferocious, imprisoned in cages. Once the day was over, the ravens returned to devour every bit of left over food humans had tossed to the surroundings of the animals. They especially found a lot to eat around the cages of monkeys.
