About the Book

Dr. Halls experiences as an abused wife was the soil in which earlier planted seeds of hope, value, optimism, and possibility took root, growing into a strong plant she recognizes as empowered and free.  Her passion to encourage other women by sharing her story would not be but for knowing the richness, depth, and texture woven into the fabric of her life by facing head-on obstacles designed to break her will and insure personal defeat. She hoped against all hope and after doing all she could do, she just stood. These keys to her success she offers to others as the keys to their success.

This book repeats what we intuitively know, yet fail to intentionally act upon-women are special to God; thats why He created us the way we are. Our roles do not define us; they only identify what we do.  What others pronounce over us, about us, to us does not define us.  And believe it or not, what we say to ourselves do not define us. Our true self is only revealed as we wholeheartedly embrace Gods definition of who we are-His royal daughters, formed and shaped in His infinite mind destined to fulfill His purpose for our existence.

Our journey to finally exhale and accept Gods image of ourselves for ourselves is the message of Dr. Halls book.  While we may have little control over the soil in which the seeds of our lives are planted, there comes a defining moment in our lives when we must choose, take responsibility for what types of fertilizers we will add to the soil.  The chapters explain the fertilizers needed to make the seeds of our lives grow into strong empowered and free plants…

                                Women Must Arise

The words "I will arise" are powerful and straightforward. Not only do they suggest efficacy and optimism, but they also indicate decisiveness and mobility. Daughters must arise, because it is God's direct mandate to us. But, in order for us to arise we must have an awareness of who we are, what we are supposed to be doing, and where we are going.  During His earthly ministry,   Jesus spoke to people in Hebrew. I wanted to know what He meant when He commanded individuals to “Arise.”  I did a word search and here is what I’ve discovered. In the online Lexicon, the Hebrew word "Quwm” is translated arise.  It means to stand up, to become powerful, to endure, to be fulfilled and to fulfill, to let go, to succeed, to accomplish, be clearer, to strengthen, to carry out, to build.

If you are “broken into pieces” by overwhelming issues and adverse circumstances in your life, the Lord is calling you to arise, to become powerful, to let go, to succeed, and to strengthen. Reclaim your identity, fulfill your purpose, and secure your eternal destiny! Your Father desires to heal and restore you so that He can use you in these difficult times. We are wise women with power and tenacity. We have a significant contribution to make in our society and it is time for us to wake up. This wake-up call is not optional; it is a command.

Historically, when God is getting ready to pour out great blessings upon His children, He always gives the mandate to “Arise.” Abraham and Jacob were told to “Arise” and were obedient. They arose, did what they were supposed to do and God greatly multiplied their blessings. You too, can be tremendously blessed if you make the choice to follow God’s command and arise!

...We cannot become what we ought to be by remaining in our present condition.  God is getting ready to pour out His special blessings upon us, but we must rise up and cry out for help.  We must seek assistance and go after what we want; it will not come to us. God will make a way when it seems as if there is no way. For He said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For those who ask receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8).

Yes, some of us have been wounded in the past, but our Father is calling us to release those hurts. The Word of God says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing…” (Isaiah 43:18-19). Stop dwelling on the “bites” of yesterday. We do more damage to ourselves when we keep rehearsing past hurts. It is the trick of the enemy to keep us from knowing who we are in Christ. We must learn to forgive those who have wronged us not just once or twice, but as often as necessary.  Jesus forgives us as many times as we need His forgiveness. He always extends His grace and mercy towards us. When we are unforgiving and unkind it creates bitterness, resentment, and hate.  If we are to overcome the depression, guilt, and bitterness and experience a sense of freedom – inner-peace and joy we must be freed from the enemies within.
