Brenda McGuire
"Vinny Goes To Delaware" is the first in a series of books designed to educate children about the fifty states. It provides alternative languages and elementary facts concerning the state of Delaware at a level which a three to eight year old child can easily understand and enjoy. In addition, there is a page dedicated to parents and provides historical and geographical information pertinent to the state.
Most children between the ages of three to eight will find "Vinny Goes To Delaware" entertaining, educational and will want to read it over and over.
Brenda McGuire is a retired Navy officer and resides in Maine. Recently while driving from Maine to Virginia with her three small grandchildren (ages 2 - 5 years old), Brenda thought it would be enjoyable for the children if she read them books about the states they would drive through on their way to Virginia. Searching the internet and bookstores, Brenda found books for children of a much older age group, but none for ages 3 - 8. As a result, Brenda decided to write a series of books pertaining to the fifty states in the United States at a level a 3 to 8 year old would understand and enjoy. "Vinny Goes to Delaware" is the first book in the series.

Hola (that’s Spanish for hello)…My name is Sal and I live in Maine. My most favorite thing to do is jump in puddles with my red rain boots. Today my little brother, my two cousins and I are going on a trip to the State of Delaware.
Meet my little brother Vinny. Vinny likes to wear my clothes even though they are way too big for him. He tags along behind me where ever I go, even to the bathroom. Mom says Vinny just wants to be big like me and he’s always hungry.
Say bonjour (that's French for hello) to my cousin JoJo. JoJo loves to chew gum but always gets it stuck in his hair and on his clothes.
Also coming along on our trip to Delaware is my cousin Lana. She doesn’t talk much but likes to play the horn. Lana is going to be a musician when she grows up. Lana say ciao (that's Italian for hello) to everyone.
