Karen Fine
Follow three young children on a quest for a snack in which Mom and Dad will approve!
Fresh fruit for a healthy snack is the premise behind Karen Fine's latest book, "Nature's Candy." The author of "How I Eat Without Wheat" delights young audiences with a new story about children who discover that healthy eating can be fun. The picture book is told in rhyme and depicts the adventure with colorful illustrations.
Karen Fine began writing children's books when her oldest son was diagnosed with celiac disease because there were no books for toddlers available to help explain his new diet. Although her youngest son is not afflicted with the disease, she wanted to promote healthy eating to him as well. Through the experience of watching her young toddlers become strong young boys, she was inspired to help others learn to enjoy a healthy lifestyle at an early age. "Nature's Candy" is her second in a series of books that encourages young children to make sound decisions to live a happy and healthy life. For more information about the author, visit

We wanted a snack,
between breakfast and lunch.
We were looking for something quite crunchy to munch.
But Mom and Dad said, "No junk food."
What does that mean?
No sweet candy or chips or fun snacks in between?
