God is calling you…

In the same manner that parents call their children, God is calling you to a heavenly vocation. The question is not whether you have or haven’t been called. The real question is when will you answer the divine summons issued to you from your Creator?

History is a compilation of the lives of ordinary people. Some have become notable, some notorious. The difference is determined by the decisions made during the course of a person’s life.
Darian Terrell Powell, Sr. is a “clay jar.” He is an ordinary man with the same passions that we all experience. He works hard and is not afraid to walk by faith and try new experiences. Over the years he has had to travel through some difficult places. Because of his belief in the sovereignty of GOD he is allowing the treasure that has been deposited in him to be revealed to the world. His purpose is that the Kingdom of GOD be advanced and his Heavenly Father glorified. He readily acknowledges that “this all surpassing power is from GOD” and not from him.
Often, because of our close proximity, we make light of the seeds of greatness that have been sown in those with whom we are familiar. Please don’t make this mistake. As you read, allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you through His chosen vessel.
CHAPTER 1
Why Do I Have To Be Alone?
This is perhaps the most difficult literature I have ever written…
The difficulty for me was in re-acquainting myself with the process of becoming the man, pastor, father, friend, and child God desires me to be. The process was not easy for me and it will not be a cake walk for you either. Most of you who engage and embrace the tenets of these pages will have an equal level of discomfort, especially those who can relate to some of the same shared experiences. I want you to allow for three basic understandings. First, is that you have been called by God. We will deal with the call of God in the second chapter. Second, it is vital that you know and comprehend that this “call” is a mandate from God. Finally, I need you to grasp that if you are truly a believer in Christ you will become motivated by God to become one with Him (body, soul, and spirit). The surrender of one’s self to God is not natural or normal, but it is necessary. That is – it’s necessary if you truly want to be fulfilled in your life. Everyone doesn’t want to be fulfilled in life and make no mistake, everyone won’t be!
