This story is about a young and very brave Search and Rescue Helicopter, called Rescue Whiskey Bravo, who volunteers to search for the senior Search and Rescue Helicopter and his hero, Oscar Charlie who is lost in a storm, whilst carrying the “Top Brass”, who are very important people, to the Base by the edge of the sea.
The target audience for this book is seen to be children of all ages. We expect parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to read the book to very small children and children from 4+ to read the book themselves.
Local Weymouth author, Ebony Sutton, has a soft spot for the world of Search and Rescue – her husband is a Search and Rescue pilot.
So naturally, having been immersed in the world of Search and Rescue it seemed quite natural to her to see the rescue helicopter as a friendly craft with its own little personality and this is how the very friendly, cheeky chap – Rescue Whiskey Bravo was born. Ebony Sutton’s first book to be published, “Whiskey Bravo Gets His Wings”, is the first book telling the tales and adventures of a very brave Search and Rescue Helicopter called Rescue Whiskey Bravo.

Aberdoon received the mayday call. “What shall we do, we don’t have anyone to send to help!” “Yes you do,” piped up, Whiskey Bravo. “You can send me, I can do it”. As quick as a flash Whiskey Bravo was fuelled, made ready and was standing on the runway. “Good luck Whiskey Bravo”. “Take care Whiskey Bravo” came the voices from below as the little helicopter took off.
