In Nothing Personal, It’s Just Business, Dr. Lou sifts out the surprising truths that young CEOs must know to develop into the best corporate bosses they can be.

Nothing Personal, It's Just Business is entertaining, practical, and packed with common sense principles that will earn you the respect and success you deserve.

About the Author

Dr. Lou Gonzales is CEO of Little Feathers Group, an educational and business consulting firm that assists start-up businesses in acquiring loans, site acquisition, and business management. He was raised in gang-active communities of Los Angeles, California where he worked hard to balance his educational values and those of the gang culture.

Even as a youth, his skills as a public speaker and the ease with which he was able to negotiate his way through the gang culture of his neighborhoods allowed him the opportunity to serve as liaison between law enforcement and gangs.

Dr. Lou attended the University of California where received his Bachelors degree in English and later went on to earn his Masters degree in Counseling and Psychology. He later earned a Doctorate from Columbia Pacific University, working extensviely with young adults and the education field.

He has also published two books on the subjects of gang prevention and school climate: Gang-Free Zones and Positive School Climate. He is a sought-after speaker on topics relating to at-risk youth and the “re-inventing” of education.

Dr. Gonzales is bright, brash, and in your face when it comes to attacking today’s complacency in education and systems that poorly serve its intended populations.

"What is success?  That depends on what you want. The question is elusive and no one has a clear definition.  It could be fame for some, fortune for others.  It could be an older couple enjoying a secure retirement, or a  single parent knowing that she has bought her first home and for the first time feels empowered and motivated to conquer other challenges.  It could be the result of many years of hard work and perseverance. Lee Iacocca once said that only in the dictionary does success comes before work...

....I recall people commenting that I seemed to always be at the right place at the right time. Vaffanculo! Looking back, I recall steering myself through those right times in the direction of those right places through shark-infested waters, and I don’t ever recall anything being handed to me.

Success in life doesn’t come from playing a good hand, but from playing a bad hand well. Never lay down the cards you’ve been dealt!"
