It is difficult to express what a person feels just being around “Dad” Clark. For me I feel a sense of joy and life that can only come from being in God’s presence, maybe it is because this precious man lives in His presence and has learned the “art of living” like few you will ever meet. His smile and life are so infectious that you just feel compelled to love and respect him all the while begging to ask, “How have you lived to be 105?” He is, to use an old phrase, “a prince of a man.” I will always carry, in my soul, the picture and image of “Dad’s” radiant countenance; and I never want to lose it. It serves as a reminder to us all that life is about what Christ has done for us and not what life and others have done to us. There is no hint of bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness even though I am sure he has had plenty of “justifiable” opportunity to be tainted by any or all of them. There are not enough adjectives to put in front of this great man’s name but there is one thing for sure; he is one of God’s saints. I love you “Dad” Clark, you are a hero. Happy 105th birthday!
