What Is Critical Success?
Success, we all want it. We all need it. We don’t take the time to quantify it, or truly figure out what it is. All we know is, we see other people living champagne wishes and caviar dreams. We’re bombarded by images of fast cars, gorgeous men and women, mansions, and vacations in exotic locales. We see this, and we want it too. Better yet, we feel we’re entitled to it.
We know what we see. We know what we feel. We know what we think we want, success. I must stress the word think, because most people don’t really know what success is, let alone what success is in terms of who they are as people, as individuals.
What is Critical Success? CRITICAL SUCCESS is the planned achievement of something urgent and essential, utilizing skillful planning and judgment for the express purpose of attaining personal prosperity.

Let's face it. We all want to be rich.
Do you like the way it sounds as it rolls off the tongue? I want to be rich! As it is said, you feel the implicit promise of a guaranteed tomorrow. You can just see it now. When, when, when. When you make your first million you’re going to buy a house for your mother. You’re going to live in a mansion, and have a vacation home on the Caribbean coast. You’ll own a Ferrari. Actually, you’ll be so rich you’ll have your own G4, a private plane to whisk you off to parts unknown to lesser mortals. Or, even better, the G4 might fly you to your own Caribbean island. Forget a beach house, you own your very own coastline. It surrounds your personal paradise estate, complete with an airstrip. Yes, you have plans. It’s simply a matter of when it will all happen.
Some of you think about this fabulous tomorrow and can’t wait to buy your next lottery ticket. You just know you’re going to hit. Your number is destined to come up. You’re feeling particularly lucky his year. Some of you know you need a plan, and for the past few years you’ve attended seminar after seminar. You’ve joined multiple multi-level marketing corporations. You keep going because you know the truth, that one of these seminars will teach you how to become a real estate lord, or master stock manipulator, or the inventor of the world’s most innovative product since the light bulb.
Something is going to happen to you, and you will be the luckiest person in the world. From this, you will have the ability to purchase all the material wants your heart desires. You will floss. You will flash. You will bling, bling, to your heart’s content. Oh, what a wonderful something you will be when you become rich.
Yes, this is how we think. This is how we are conditioned to think. It is ingrained in us culturally. Through the power of media-driven consumercelebreality we have become mindless Myrmidons, following famed Achilles to an absurd death, an arrow through the ankle.
The blame is twofold. The drive for more profit is the American way, the entrepreneurial way. It is a good way, so long as it is tempered with justice, morality, and common sense. This is not always the case.
However, in truth, the lion’s share of the blame belongs to the individual, to you and me. What’s the problem? Can we not think? Granted, we all think, to some degree. Unfortunately, we don’t think critically. We don’t consider. We don’t question. We’re Myrmidons. We’re spoons.
We have to learn to be strong individuals in order to better the whole. We have to be good to ourselves, in order to be good to others. We have to discover our true passion.
