It presents a unique history of the Muslim world, touching on the ramifications of Fatima’s stand for Women’s rights and the seeds of dissension planted at the death of Mohammad, while touching on all of the crucial events from past to present that have turned horribly violent as a result of simple misinterpretations of the Quran and traditions by extremist groups, such as those responsible for the horrible terrorist actions that took place on 9/11.
This book will provide an in-depth analysis of some crucial movements within Islam that have nurtured the hate drawn from hundreds of years of history as well as provide forward-looking analysis on the concepts of freedom in Islam, human rights, women’s rights, and modernist views, as well as reformist views and their place in Islam.
About the Authors:
Syed Abbas Ali Rizvi has thirty years experience as Director, Manager, Research scientist, and Sr. Principal engineer with Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare industries. He owns patents in his name in the area of optical physics for the development of a novel device for micro surface analysis and has MS in chemistry from Easter Illinois University.
Syed Khasim Taqui Rizvi is a graduate from the Cambridge School of Weston in Weston, Massachusetts, and has had an interest in writing since he took creative and literary writing courses after being selected at the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University. Khasim Rizvi is currently pursuing a college degree with future plans in writing and law.
