"The Very Fat Caterpillar" is about a caterpillar named Cameron who is very picky about what he eats. When the kind of food he likes to eat is all gone and he has to find something new Cameron begins to realize that he shouldn't pre-judge things because of the way they look.
This is a story for kids who just don't want to eat, or are afraid to try new things. It makes change less scary for young children and helps them relate their problem with Cameron's.
I was born in the small town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia in Canada. I grew up writing and drawing anything I could. Having a book published has been a dream of mine for a long time. I'd like to extend my thanks to all of you who've purchased a copy of this book.
I started writing "The Very Fat Caterpillar" when I was just nine years old. In the beginning it was only a couple of pages long; look at it now!
Not too long ago, and not very far away there lived a very picky caterpillar named Cameron. He lived at 123 Orchard Drive; on a farm in the country. He liked it at the farm. His favorite places to spend time was in the trees or amongst the sunflowers. He loved to feel the sun on his skin.
For his whole life, leaves had been the only kind of food that Cameron had ever eaten. One bright day all his relatives came to visit. They were all hungry from their long journey and they ate all the leaves! They didn't even leave one single leaf for Cameron to eat. What was he going to do?
