About the Book

This information gifts people the power to stand in their truth. Our time in history demands that every single person who can stand for truth come forward.

She’s Arrived!  A contemporary voice of the Deep Feminine has finally come to join today’s conversation on consciousness and enlightenment. In The Sacred Book of U, Ruth Gould-Goodman—mother and wife, dancer, breath-movement master, and oriental and energy medicine practitioner—elucidates a fresh, philosophically sophisticated, and accessible perspective on feminine spiritual enlightenment.

For the modern student (or new devotee) of consciousness and the power of mind, The Sacred Book of U offers a nuanced and compassionate understanding of positive vs. negative thinking.  Obviating the typical dualistic posture towards negativity or pain of many consciousness paths, The Sacred Book of U radically proposes that pain is the Universe knocking on our door, providing the only human way into expanded consciousness and true spiritual growth.  The Voice of the Mother, moreover, asserts that spiritual growth can only be initiated through the body—the universal yet uniquely individual portal to a holistic divinity in an otherwise divided and fragmented world.

Birthed from a lifetime’s marriage of body-breath movement practice and a deep, clear mind, Ruth’s work provides a tangible, grounded, and whole-systems perspective on authentic transformation.  Complete with personal stories containing universal messages, mind-body exercises for practical application, and philosophical discussion of some of today’s most pressing global concerns, The Sacred Book of U is a treasure for spiritual readers and students looking for an accessible path of enlightened living and a truly holistic and grounded spiritual practice. The world has been withheld from the feminine’s ‘secret’ for too long!  Those who have been ready for an alternative to the long-dominant masculine voices of spirituality will experience Ruth’s teachings with relief and eager enthusiasm.

About the Author

Ruth Gould-Goodman. B.A. Psychology, M.A. Health and Healing Professions, New York University. For over thirty-five years, Ruth Gould-Goodman has explored the realms of the body, movement and spirituality. As an acupuncturist, energy healer, and writer, Ruth began her body-based study of consciousness as a dance therapy major at NYU’s School of Health and Healing Professions. Presently, she is a practicing California-licensed acupuncturist with a private practice of energy healing. Through her own personal healing journey, Ruth learned that deep inner listening and attunement to the Life force in her own body not only guided her back to her spiritual center, but opened a capacity to heal a history of food and sex addictions. As she personally cleared the darkness embedded in her cellular memory, Ruth realized the universality of her understandings and has now translated the wisdom she received into a spiritual embodiment teaching.

In both group and private sessions, Ruth guides her students to attune to the life energy at the core of the body. Initiated into trusting the impulses of their bodies, her students gain their own capacity to self-heal. The system she developed, La Madre Yoga of Breath, draws from the roots of yoga, marshal arts, indigenous dance, creative movement and vocal expression. With breath awareness at the core of this spiritual movement practice, Ruth’s simple and practical approach brings dramatic, long-term transformation in the bodies and lives of her students and clients.

As a poet and philosopher, Ruth publishes a monthly blog at www.ruthgouldgoodman.com. The philosophy she shares with her readers reinforces the spiritual insights her students embody as a result of their work with her. Ruth Gould-Goodman is happily married, has two grown children, and lives in Venice, California.

Tantric circuitry with my husband

My husband and I seek an opening through each other to touch the gentle love of divine consciousness. The more I open to recognize my own divinity, the more I see and am able to perceive the divinity of my husband. Our correspondence is exact. I can only see in him what I am able to experience within myself. Vibrationally, our circuitry is amplified exponentially by the sexual intimacy of our mutual resonance. It is not that I love him and he, me. Our personal identity is too small to hold the vastness of the love we feel. We each understand that we love the divine within ourselves and as we internally deepen into that as direct experience, we are able to recognize it within each other. The amplification of the circuitry of our physical love deepens each of our capacities to recognize the divinity that is vibrating both of us. We are each a doorway for the other to touch the Love within that is God. The more we recognize God in the finite container of our bodies, the more the boundaries of our skin dissolve, until we are floating and merged within an indescribably gentle and loving vastness. I feel that I am a part of the Cosmos; the deep, dark, profound, and expanded Infinite—so delicate and so refined. I love touching life.

All longing for intimacy is to touch the love residing from within

If you think the cause of the love you feel is located in the person who is the object of your love, you tighten. If you project your love as belonging to another, you will try to possess them within yourself because you have inadvertently structured your love outside of your center where you have no control. You will feel you must control the person you have given your love to. By attempting to make love into something that has a finite concrete definition, you kill its possibility by trying to hold and control it, instead of opening to an alive, conductive relationship with it. When you enter directly and locate the truth of love within your body, it’s like opening a window to an ocean that you share with another.
