Carmen S. Bichrest, author/illustrator, is originally from Puerto Rico. She wanted to create a lasting memory for her daughter and drew inspiration for this book from her scenic New Hampshire neighborhood. 

She currently resides in Nashua with her daughter Helena and husband Michael. 

Carmen has a Masters Degree in Special Education.
