UNPROTECTED I lay here naked, unprotected. Damp, moist from the early morning dew. Innocently untouched, secretly unbridled. Listening to the wind speak of your arrival. Watching the darkness slowly dissolve in your presence. Waiting from one moment to the next, laying in anticipation. Longing for your touch, fearing its affects. Ignorant to your strength; to your beauty, unknowingly underestimating the depth of your influence. Torn, half willing, half unsure. Never fully understanding your reach, your control over me. I lay here, naked and unprotected. Like a scared little boy waiting for the first touch of a woman. Like a young man waiting for the reciprocation of his undying affection. Like a man on the brink of making an eternal commitment. I lay here naked, unprotected. Waiting, wanting, yearning for you. My first, my only, my last sunrise.
