About the Book

Divide and Conquer: The Spiritual Transformation of a Modern-Day Magician offers a work of fiction in which I seek to blend elements of spirituality, philosophy, and human drama into a descriptive character study. As the story unfolds, my lead chapter reveals worries and concerns about the fate of mankind. From this point, I flash back in time to show how this man comes to learn about his own psychic abilities and talents. Through a detailed plot, I dramatize how my protagonist begins to use his insights into the human psyche to understand human consciousness. By blending my research into parapsychology and mythology into the structure of my narrative, I seek to augment the scope of my narrator's search for understanding and connection.

In Divide and Conquer: The Spiritual Transformation of a Modern-Day Magician, I frame my chronicle with descriptions of my hero's inner thoughts and emotions with depictions of settings and conversations. It reflects about twenty years of research and study. It tells the story of an average man who goes on a transformational journey as we enter the new age. The work is meant to provide an overview of some of today's cutting issues in our world. The presentation is designed to give insight on science, ancient history, and a different paradigm on present day life.

The reader of this book would be someone who likes to watch the X-files, has an interest in UFOs, magic, ancient megalifts, past life regression, neuro-linguistic programming and medical illness' facing humankind today. If its not discussed in my journal, maybe it really did not happen.

To promote my book I have developed a 1.5 hour multimedia /slide show and video that allows easy access into some of the complex problems discussed in my work. I have given this talk in NYC and Boston as well as my local community and my audiences feel it is timely and inspirational.

It had always been a lark anyway David, this story of divide and conquer. It was just a piece of science fiction. Well, maybe not at first, but then who would believe it anyway? Who would care? After all, I had no concern for Tom's, my mentors' concept of, the Lords of the Rings or the real reason Columbus had to get out of Spain by August 3, 1492, Midsummer's eve. Could the account of the good fathers of Lancidno s Church of Legorton be true, or was the real miracle the fact that Jesus would not allow Saint Nichols to consecrate his mass to rid the holy land of the infidels. This holy and noble task amounted to brave knights killing woman and their children in the name of God for a sun calendar site taken over by the Islamic when Mohammed left the planet at the old site. For that matter, the living flesh that remains to this day in that Italian holy place may be a stern reminder to those of knowledge. Thou shall not kill by God s name and seek to consecrate the abomination in a holy place for man s rewards."

David s face began to change color and I knew he was going into a light trance state, but I was on a roll and like a dam bursting forth I continued. "In retrospect, why would I care of bloodlines that go back to Sir William Walley of Scotland or his alleged son, the later King of England? Robert Burn s efforts to keep the Scottish Rite intact held no meaning to me," I said. "The only thing of substance was a conjunction of Pluto in Sagittarius and a 252-year cycle ending in 1995 that some how foretold the end of divine rule by Kings," I continued.

While David was a student of history, he could not hope to match Tom s three-week intensive research at Washington, DC s National Archives Building, on the question of Thomas Jefferson being or not being a Mason? I continued unabashed, "Yet, how could I not be moved by Thomas Jefferson s foresight that saw the greed clothed in peace and law that caused him to give his fortune to prevent the federal bank and thus prevent the rule over the many by the few. Worse yet, how could I ignore a northern Mason like Warren Harding getting hoodwinked into signing a bill, worked on by Theodore Roosevelt, and never read by the democratic president. Prior to Garfield being shot, he had rejected a bill that would later create a federal reserve system. This system would leave total control of the transfer of all wealth, debt, goods and services under the control of so few for time immortal. While the ink is long dry and the impact of the late mason would not be seen until decades later, a rumor of a New World order had forced compromise none could foresee."

"How could such a noble cause find people who had striven so hard for simple freedoms, such as the ability to worship God as they chose, fall into the tyranny of debt slavery that exists today," I wondered aloud. "At one time it cost one cent to send mail across the country. To determine how extensive the climate of debt is, multiply the cost of a stamp by one hundred to see the true rate of inflation," I said. "Is there any wonder why no one has any money
