About the Book

Have you ever wished you could run away to a tropical island and escape from all of your problems? In Shelly Taylor’s Wages of Sin, Penny did just that. Stalked by a notorious gang, Penny takes a suggestion from a T-shirt and buys a one way ticket to Maui. She is immediately adopted by a cave dwelling, pot growing Viet Nam vet. From hippies to druggies to restaurateurs; Penny spends years flopping to and fro from the frying pan to the fire. Eventually she settles into a seemingly safe routine of work and friendships. One can’t run away forever, though. Sudden events bring the past reeling back full force. A choice must be made. Which way will she go?

About the Author

Shelly Taylor was born in Anchorage Alaska. Her mother was the teen-aged party animal daughter of old time homesteaders. Shelly grew up on moose meat, caribou, reindeer sausage, and smoked salmon. She began her adult life at an early age. She’s been called ‘wild and crazy’ by friend and foe, and her misadventures have taken her to the farthest reaches of the globe. Shelly finally settled on Maui, where she has become a veteran in the hospitality industry. Currently she works for a gourmet catering service. Wages of Sin is based on a few of her notable early incidents-and she assures us; “There is more to come.”

Penny could feel and sense him smelling her hair. Then he moved to her shoulders, “Your shoulders are really tight.”

“From lifting trays…. Oh man that feels good.”

He worked on her shoulders for several minutes, Penny moaning all the while… Then…he moved his hands down to her pecks, using a probing motion with his finger tips…

“Mmmmm,” Penny moaned.

When he pushed his fingers into her cleavage to get under the spandex, Penny put her hands on his hands and stopped him. He pressed his lips against her ear and whispered, “Come on, Penny. You know I wanted you the first time I saw you.”

Penny’s answer came automatically, “Then why did you go off with Co-co?”

“Because; I knew once we got together, that would be it.”

Penny said nothing…… Frank pulled away and stood up. Penny grabbed his hand. He looked down and smiled. He took another step toward the window and closed the curtains. Then he gave Penny his other hand and helped her up.

“Come on...” Frank backed toward the bedroom, leading her; as if it were his apartment and his bed, “...come on.”

Tony didn’t mind a few pau-hana’s, but he’d been off for an hour and a half and was starting to get irritated.

“Maybe he got in an accident,” Paige offered.

“We would have heard something by now.”

“Maybe he got arrested,” Paige teased.

Tony pointed at him self with both thumbs, “Then, I’m the guy he’d call to bail him out. He’s probably with some chick. I guess I’ll call a fuckin’ cab.” Tony stood.

Suddenly, Paige had a mental flash of Penny storming out earlier that evening, “I’ll bet he’s with Penny. She was just leaving as you arrived.”

Tony knew it was true. Paige dialed the number and handed him the receiver.

Penny stood naked behind the door and kissed Frank goodbye.

“Can I come back?” He asked.

“Yeah,” She answered.

Penny waited on the couch…smiling, touching her self, sighing, looking up at heaven, covering her face, giggling, shaking her head, smiling...
