The misfortune of a young girl brought her to a new home, in a new town, and at a new school. One day, a stranger walked into her classroom. He revealed a shocking surprise that neither she, nor any of her classmates, could have ever expected.
Roger Williams is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a Gulf War Veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He is a member of the American Legion, the American Veterans Organization, and the Montford Point Marine Officers' Association. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina, and a Masters of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. He developed an interest and passion in children's books as a graduate student studying children's literature. His first book, titled Me-Me N Me, was written about the real life events of his grandson. He was inspired to write this book as a tribute to those children whose parents have deployed to answer the call to arms, and to those grand parents who must provide care for them during these periods of hardships, separations, and uncertainties.
He was carrying an envelope, or something like it in his hand.
