And so it was, a small group of travelers back on the trail – hopefully the right one. From time to time they came across others like Spitfire: wanderers, strangely drawn in the same direction. Some were trying to find Noah’s Place, others just wanted a reason to leave. Their herd was steadily growing, as was their confidence.
As they went along, they noticed the sky was changing, strange-like. The brightness seemed to fade, and the beautiful white clouds began to darken. There was a breeze coming from somewhere, and things were cooling down.
Then, Jay spotted it, and stammered, “wh, wh, what’s that?!” Rainey was in silent shock. Everyone on the ground waited for a description of their discovery. Spitfire finally asked, “You gonna share with the rest of us?” Rainey and Jay looked at each other not knowing what to say. Rainey composed herself and tried, “Well, it looks like a boat-shaped building. There are hundreds of animals boarding in an unusual fashion.” One of their companions, a coyote, stuck his nose in the air and sniffed. “Smells urgent.. and exciting. A party!! I hope they have barbeque chips!” The whole crew began chattering and speculating. Rainey became indignant. “We are not LOOKING for a party!” Before Rainey had even finished, the other animals began to move in for a closer look. Rainey cleared her throat and announced, “Okay everyone, this may be the place. Let’s stay close together.”
