About the Book

Romance - A flower that blooms ... and grows!

Glenn Walker left Indianapolis, at the controls of his twin engine Piper Navajo. He was headed to Kansas City, Missouri, on a business trip.

What he wasn't expecting to find, found him: Romance, adventure and a new awakening.

Walking into a diner changed his whole life. He fell head over heels for his waitress - Love at first sight?

Jennifer Andrews is a sixth-year veterinary student. Five foot-nine inches tall, slim and trim, with bright red hair hanging down her back in a pony tail, a few scattered freckles and the most beautiful green eyes he had ever seen.

From that day on, nothing would ever be the same for Glenn again.

About the Author

Ron Hyer lives in McCordsville, near Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife, Linda, and his 'shadow,' Casey,' a Black Labrador Retreiver who follows him everywhere.

Growing up in Rhode Island, he was a frequent resident on Cape Cod at his parents home in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

On his own, he lived and worked in California for a couple of years where he earned a Private Pilot license and settled in the midwest where he met his wife at an airport looking for a plane to fly. They raised two sons. He and his wife now have a granddaughter.

This is his first novel. A sequel is in the works.

Glenn sauntered into the diner, chose a booth at the far end, grabbed up a menu and quickly decided what to eat. Absorbed in the contract which needed a signature, his concentration was broken by the appearance of a glass of water on the table and the distinctive scent of Jean Nate wafted under his nose. It came from the person standing by his table waiting to take his order – his waitress. Looking up, his jaw dropped.

All he could do was stare at her. Tall, probably in her twenties he guessed, fair complected, long red hair tied back in a pony tail with a green ribbon, and the most fascinating green eyes he had ever seen. He was mesmerized.

"Have we met somewhere?" Glenn asked.

"No, I don’t believe so," she said "Are you ready to order?"

"My name is Glenn Walker – and you are...?"

"Jennifer – Jenny, if you will. What would you like to order?"

"Tuna on wheat and a bowl of clam chowder. Pleased to meet you, Jenny - I wish we’d met earlier. I apparently missed you somewhere. I hope we can do something about that."

"I won’t be here much longer," Jenny said.

"Oh, where are you going? I’d like to get acquainted. That won’t happen if you leave."

"Back to my final year at Purdue’s Veterinary School."

"Hey, that’s great. I’m from Indianapolis, not that far away, so I know we can get together," .

"I’ll go place your order and we’ll talk about it - MAYBE!" she countered
