Shakeena M. Whitmore shares the remarkable true story of her journey through a troubled childhood to redemption. Whitmore's diffucult childhood forced her to grow up too fast. Pregnant at 14, she became s overwhelmed with the challenges she faced that she was driven to attempt suicide at the age of 16. Throughout all of her struggles, Whitmore's life was complicated by her inability to believe in God. Finally at the age of 20 Whitmore gave her life to Christ and things began to change for her. Shakeena Whitmore born in New Jersey, currently residing in South Carolina with her husband Byris, and her daughter Latyrah. Shakeena has a heart for God and his people, and above all she wants the youth to come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Shakeena chooses to put her life in this book, because she knows that it will be a blessing for teenagers facing these same issues. With so much going on today we must not forget our youths, we have to tell them what we faced, so that when faced with the same challenges they can overcome them.
In writing this book, I feel like I am not good enough to be an instument for God. I know there is a lot of people that feels the same way. The things you went through, you are now saying, how in the world God is going to use me? That's it right there, God is going to do it, you are not doing it yourself. We have to know greater is he in me, than he in the world. No matter what you are facing, God is bigger than that issue in your life.
