A couple won a small island in a contest and they wanted to turn it into a small getaway. But, it turns out that this little Island turns into what they never could have predicted. Two other couples join them to help turn this island into an attraction that everybody can enjoy. There is surfing and other water sports at the beach and you can relax all day on the beach or in the warm pool. There is a sauna with a hot spring and a small pond nearby for when the hot spring gets too hot. They find that there is more to this little island then they thought. They use everything that the island has to offer. They
build tree houses by a big beach and tents by the cove to turn this
small island into a big getaway. There are strange things happening on
the island that frighten some and excite others. These strange things turn out to be something amazing and there are many things that make this island a paradise.

The New Island
“Hey,
Josh, come and look at this.” Josh rushed over and rolled his brown
eyes as he sees his wife holding a letter that looked like another
credit card offer.
“What’s that, Anna? A zero APR card?”
With a big smile, she said, “No, no, we won, we won.”
“What a higher interest rate?”
Shaking her long dark hair, she said, “No, No, an ISLAND.”
“What? Are you kidding?” Josh looked at the letter. With his mustache tingling, he said, “There’s got to be a catch.”
“No, it’s that contest, because we used their credit card. We won an island.”
Josh raised his bushy eyebrows. “Yah, it’s probably a small island in the middle of the Pacific.”
“You always wanted to get away,” Anna said with a smile.
Shaking his head, Josh said, “Yah, but not to nothing.”
With excitement, Anna suggested, “Well, we can build our own village… Yah, in the trees.”
“You’re dreaming. How could we do that?”
“Well,
with help. I mean, you can afford it with all that money you’ve made in
the stock market; and your friends that want to get away from all of
the hassles of life.”
“Wait, stop, you’re dreaming, at least until we’re sure that this thing is for real.”
Josh
looked the letter over and called the number that was on the front of
the letter. Josh put down the phone and looked at his wife, wide-eyed,
and said, “It sounds like it’s real.”
Anna
took the phone, and as Josh got his cell phone, she started calling all
of her friends. Josh called Fred to tell him the news, and he almost
flipped.
Fred said, “We could build a vacation house there that we can retire to. Heck, it’s a whole island, so we could build two.”
“Yah,
I’m going to call Mark to see if he wants in on this. He’ll want a
house, too. Oh, my wife wants a whole village…in the trees,
nevertheless.”
They laughed, and Fred said, “I will have to talk to my wife, so I’ll call you back.”
Josh
called Mark and told him the news, and Mark said, “Your wife wants a
village? In the trees? Well, I know a contractor that could look at the
layout of the island to see what we can do. I’ll have him call you.”
The
next weekend, they all got together, took a plane to the closest city,
and rented a helicopter to take them the rest of the way. When they
landed on the big beach at one end of the island, Anna jumped out with
Kim and Amy, saying, “Just look at this big beach. It’s half of the
island.”
Josh got out saying, “I’m sure at high tide, most of it is underwater.”
Anna
gave him a look, but Kim was looking all around, with her curly hair
frizzing, and she said, “Look, there’s a mountain over there.”
